    Hi Susanna,
Is there a complete list of designers anywhere ? I believe that Joyce Morgan was perhaps once a designer for Hermes ?
    kind regards

Bonjour! I have a 2008 Ecole Portugaise D’art Equestre scarf by Phillipe Dumas that I discovered at an estate sale. It seems to have all the requirements to be authentic that I have found via Google as to size, rolled hem, etc. It has a small, difficult to see, stain at the edge of one border (presumably lipstick). Is this a rare scarf? How would I go about determining a value?

    1. Hello Aimee,
congratulations on your find. Unfortunately, due to time constraints, I cannot offer any valuation services free of charge. I would think the internet might be a good place to do your research. Enjoy your carre.

hello, i have recently acquired a navy and gold ‘le mors a la conetable’ from a charity shop. I have read that the scarf has been issued many times, but am unsure whether differing location of the copyright on the scarf and the addition of the artist’s name (h d’origny) is only present in the more recent issues.. Would you be able to comment on this if i sent you a photo?? 🙂 Thanks!

Hello! I recently came across a Hermes Brandebourgs Scarf in hot pink and red. I found it in a thrift store, of all places. It’s in great condition and signed by Caty Latham. Can you tell me any information about it? Year of issue, approximate retail value? Any info would be greatly appreciated!

    1. Dear Abby,
Thank you for contacting me regarding your Brandebourgs carre – congratulations!

I have currently one for sale, but this particular scarf has several issues, which the price reflects. I am including the link for additonal information and comparison:

Please let me know if I can be of further help.
      Kind regards,

Can you tell me anything about my “Le Tour du Monde en 80 Jours” scarf, which I received in the mid-1960s? It is signed by Ledoux.

    1. Hello Susanna,
Congratulations on this lovely carre. The Le Tour du Monde en 80 Jours – (Around the World in 80 days) was first issued in 1963 and as you already know designed by Philippe Ledoux (one of my favorite artists). If you have not already done so, you might be interested in reading a short bio on Monsieur Ledoux on my blog at

Here is only a small sampling of some of his other designs, which might also be of interst to you: http://carredeparis.com/search?q=ledoux

As far as your particular carre is concerned, it was inspired by Jules Verne’s fantastic adventure book by the same name, which I believe was published in the 1870s. Your scarf like all of Ledoux designs, is so rich in detail and such a lovely example of his artistic abilities.
Enjoy your scarf, wherever it may take you around the world 🙂
      Kind regards,
      Ladi
