I simply cannot get enough of this scarf!

Designed by gifted artist, Dimitri Rybaltchenko, this stunner is from the 2001 Spring/Summer Collection.  Inspired by a varangue, an antechamber typical in Mauritius homes, similar to a screened in porch, this carré has the allure of far away places.

I have been convinced that the orange and blue version was the “best” colorway, but now this darker, and perhaps richer palette, has completely captivated my senses and my imagination.

Our daughter spend some time on Mauritius few years ago and brought back with her some fabulous stories, photos and of course some of that delicious Mauritius tea.

Admiring Dimitri’s attention to detail, I quickly find myself relaxing in the shade of my very own varangue.  Sipping cold tea, I lazily watch butterflies flutter in the gentle breeze; in the distance the local fisherman are busy at work…

Get away this summer, in body and mind, and this spectacular Varangues now available at Carre de Paris – (SOLD)
