About a year ago, I came across a very unusual Hermès© scarf. As the Etriers (Stirrups) is one of my favorites, to purchase this unusual “edition” was an easy and quick decision.
What I had purchased was an unfinished Etriers with possibly 6 print layers (or more) missing as well as the non-existent roulotté.
A dear friend, who used to manage one of the Hermès© stores for years, was as excited as I was, as scarves like this are quite rare and not easy to find.
I have decided not to have it hemmed, although Hermès© offers this service at a fee, but instead to display it as an art piece, beautifully framed.
Still deciding on the right frame, I will post photos when it is done.
