At its center, Madame Latham’s design features Thierry Hermès, the brand’s founder, seated amidst a collection of iconic items borrowed from other designs.

Born in Krefeld, Germany, in 1801, Thierry Hermès moved to France in 1821 after losing his family to war and disease. At 36, he started a horse harness company that would eventually grow into a world-renowned luxury fashion house. Today, Hermès is celebrated for its exquisite leather goods, ready-to-wear, home furnishings, and accessories—including watches, jewelry, and, of course, its iconic scarves.

True to its name, Memoire d’Hermes is a stunning retrospective of the fashion house. This beautiful collection of objects d’art expertly captures the essence and rich history of the brand.
