Dimitri Rybaltchenko comes of from a family of great artists, who have all played a major role in the Maison Hermès’ success, in particular the Hermès Carré. Dimitri, the son of Vladimir Rybaltchenko, who was the great-nephew of Philippe Ledoux.
Dimitri has carried on his family’s legacy by creating favorites, such as the Noel au 24 Faubourg, Perles du Kenya, Varangues and Prieres au Vent.
The Prierès au Vent, Prayers in the Wind, is an absolutely stunning composition highlighting Dimitri’s abilities as an artist.
Buddhist pilgrims, armed with prayer wheels depicted in the four corners, walk in a circle in quiet contemplation around a stupa, a sacred monument used by Buddhists as a place of meditation. The circle, without beginning or end, commonly represents unity, wholeness, and infinity. In the clouds eagles circle above monasteries on snow capped peaks, which point like Truth towards Heaven.
