Les Quatre Saisons, the Four Seasons, is a lovely Hermès carré designed by the gifted and self-taught artist, Robert Dallet, renowned for his captivating scarves like Sichuan, Tanzanie, and Jungle Love.
With the Les Quatre Saisons, Dallet skilfully captures the cyclical rhythm of nature, showcasing the unique beauty of each season. The circular arrangement of his vignettes reinforces the idea of a continuous cycle, with each season seamlessly transitioning into the next.
Here is his much beloved Les Quatre Saisons Hermes Scarf from the 1994/1995 Collection.

From The Le Carré Hermès Paris Booklet:
The swallows have come back, the days are getting longer, the countryside is blooming. It’s spring! But summer is already here, like a flight of pink flamingos in the skies of the Camargue. Little by little, azure glows with purple and gold: autumn has arrived. The squirrel stores his nuts, the duck flown in from the north alight on the pond. The woodcock slips away into the dusk. Mists float over the meadows, Winter unfolds its cloak of white, and all is at an end – until the cycle begins again.

Deerest Goldee, Thank you for your heartfelt note and for finding a bit of luminescence in my newsletters during the ups and downs of life. I am so deeply sorry for the loss of your precious La Fontaine de Bartholdi; I truly understand that feeling and will be sure to keep a close eye out for another one to help fill that void. Wishing you a 2026 filled with health, happiness, and many more “mountains of beauty” to enjoy. Warmly, Ladi
Dearest Ladi, Here’s to a wonderful 2026 to you! Like yourself and my fellow followers, I am alive to the fact that there is still some beauty and luminescence in this world. And needless to say, Hermès builds mountains of beauty. The year 2025 was bittersweet due to the routine ups & downs of life. But the most bitter pill was the loss of my irreplaceable La Fontaine de Bartholdi, purchased from your shop in the fall of 2024. I really try not to think about it, but you know how emotions rule at times, even for big girls (73) like me…Anyway, I know that you would understand. So merci for listening (smile) Entre-temps, I look forward to your newsletters, which always provide a ray of sunshine, and class.
Sincerely, Very truly yours, Goldee B. Greene (Goldsmith) Garrison NY
