This theme rippled through both the Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter collections, with numerous designs featuring stories of life along the water.

Quiet contemplation bathed in the river’s song, the imagination ignites …
Le Monde D’Hermes 2005 issues resonated with articles celebrating rivers’ influence on global civilizations. One such article, Life Along the River, featured black and white photographs by Kadir van Lohuizen, whose focus were the peoples along the Danube, Mississippi, Ob, Amazon and the mighty Ganges.
2005 was a year that gave us some incredible designs among them such legendary icons like the Special Issue Hommage a l’Explorateur Sir Ernest Shackleton by Zoe Pauwels, the lovely Au Bord de l’Eau, the elusive Les Jardins D’Armenie, and the scenic Le Fleuve Sacre.
