2006 was for Hermès© the year of Paris (in the Air). That year, the fashion house unveiled a collection of designs that not only paid homage to the City of Lights but also swiftly captured the hearts and desires of fashion enthusiasts worldwide; among them Les Toits de Paris, La Musique des Spheres, Samuel de Champlain (also known as Le Canada), 24, Faubourg, Grande Roue, Soie Belle and Lumières de Paris.

The Lumières de Paris, Light of Paris, is indeed a captivating work of art, reminiscent of the exquisite stained glass windows that adorn Paris’s renowned cathedrals. Its intricate details and striking rouge and moss color palette create a truly mesmerizing spectacle, rivaling the beauty of those sacred artistic masterpieces. Even without venturing to Montmartre, one can be inspired and deeply moved by this stunning composition.
Natsuno Hidaka, has created other unforgettable carres like the Turandot or the Ballade de Heian, but one might argue that possibly her biggest contribution was in 1982 when her elephants first adorned an Hermès© necktie.
